Elizabeth Richardson-Isom is a Pacific Northwest artist that works in bronze, glass, copper and ceramic. She enjoys creating her own artwork as well as helping and teaching others in their creative process. She has worked in two bronze casting foundries, has spent numerous summer sessions working on staff at Pilchuck Glass School and has recently exhibited works at Cannon Beach Gallery, Jeanette Best Gallery and Schack Art Center as well as being a donating artist for both the Pilchuck Glass School Auction and the Big Sky Art Councils Auction for the Arts.

“Cosmic Button” 6 3/4” diameter cast glass talisman made using Bullseye Egyptian Blue powder and Grey Blue tint frit. Finished with bronze powder.

“Glimmer”

A delicate and textured pate de verre glass snowflake. Hand painted with silver enamel detail. Glass artwork measures 9.5″ in diameter by 2″ in height.

“Reflection”

Neo-lavender shift cast glass with patinated copper enamel

14” x 6” x 5”

“Reflection” is a stunning glass sculpture that color shifts from lavender to a lake blue when the light source changes. Standing beautifully as if made from glistening water and dressed in a gown of ripples of aged copper. “Reflection” was created in 2022 and stands 14” tall.

“Reflection” sold to a private collector at the 2023 Pilchuck Annual Auction and Gala, Energy of the Elements.

“Of the Ocean”

Cast glass with patinated copper enamel

15″ x 10″ x 5.5″

“Of the Ocean” came to life on July 6, 2007 in the Pilchuck Glass School Studio Building. Made using clear glass cullet and grey blue glass powders and decorated with copper enamel and patina. “Of the Ocean is a sculpture of a woman’s face in an oyster shell form and can be displayed lying down or hung on the wall using attached hardware.

“Of the Ocean” was sold at the Pilchuck Glass School Auction “The Next 50” in October 2022 to a private collector.

“Sea Shells”

A variety of small cast glass shells that the viewer can touch, pick up and re-arrange.

“Waters”

Waters” is a series of 2 dimensional artworks created using luminescent copper that is patinated to create bright blue hues that resemble cool waters. Embossed with lines and texture that form familiar aquatic animals and mounted in box frames as if floating that adds depth and a 3 dimensional feel. 

Salmon” sold at the Big Sky Arts Auction in 2023 to a private collector.

Seahorse ” was made for and donated to the Grants Pass Art Museum for their annual fundraiser and sold to a private collector. 

“Poseidon”

God of the Sea “Poseidon” the great earthquake maker. Posing, cool and calm with his hands at his side as if tucked in pockets and leaning back relaxed resembling the movement of a wave. “Poseidon” is a bronze sculpture standing 11” tall. An edition of 15. Created in 1999 during my time at The Bronzeworks Foundry.
